About US

We are here to build relationships that last a lifetime, not fix things.

Youth 4 Orphans, Inc. (Y4O) began in 2009 as the vision of founder, Terry Hand. Over the next few years, youth and young adults from southwest Florida have joined Terry on mission trips to share their faith; learn and teach about Christ and mission; and care for orphans. In 2016, the mission became a non-profit organization in the State of Florida. As a religious, educational and charitable organization, the mission of Y4O is to a) Spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ; b) Disciple U.S. youth, young adults and their families; and c) Care for orphans and orphan prevention in communities both nationally and globally. Y4O is training tomorrow’s Christian leaders.

Where We Serve

Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere and most Haitians live on less than $2 per day.  The lack of access to work, clean water, sanitation and food, attributes to infant mortality rates over 50% and leaves many vulnerable children in Haiti as orphans.

Y4O is committed to supporting the Family of Happy Children Orphanage and the communities and villages on the island of La Ganove, Haiti. Together we work to break the cycles that contribute to such extreme spiritual and economical poverty. The Old Bight Mission Home was the first location where Y4O began to serve.  The homes we serve in Cat Island and Nassau are a great way to step into your call in mission work while building relationships with children in the Bahamas.

Y4o sends personal items, cleaning supplies, food,  and clothing to Cat Island and is working towards equipping the youth who are transitioning out of orphan care.

Y4O believes that there is no greater investment that we can make than in our next generation of leaders.  Training students and young adults from the United States to become strong Christian leaders of character and principle in their schools, communities and abroad is one of the core foundations of what we do at Y4O.

The training programs encourage and equip them to live to a higher standard that is an alternative to the common culture in our society today.  By building confident young men and women who recognize their power ot make a positive and significant impact in the lives of vulnerable children, we will see a brighter future for all.

NEW in 2019!  Guatemala is the newest location where Y4O will serve.  Over 75% of the people in Guatemala live on less than $5 per day and vulnerable children find themselves victims of child labor or sex trafficking to support their families.

In 2019, Y4o will begin a new partnership with Missionaries Tim and Sharie Martiny and Fundaninos orphanage.  We will serve in after-school programs and building relationships with communities and the children at the orphanage.

Impact Lives Today

Partnering with Youth 4 Orphans will impact the lives of tomorrow’s Christian leaders and support vulnerable children abroad.
