Christine Stevenson is a student at FSU and has served on multiple mission trips with Y4O. She explains why it’s so important to share her experiences with her peers.
“Leaving Naples and coming to FSU, I realized how fortunate I was to have an organization like Y4O at my disposal. I would share my testimony about how those trips have changed my life and shaped my identity and I would always hear the same thing- I wish I had an organization like that when I was growing up. And although it’s easy to assume as a college student that their time to get involved with missions has passed, I believe that it is the most important time to continue serving. It’s really easy in college to get consumed in doing things for yourself; you’re expected to find all new friends, explore your identity, balance school work and learn how to live independently. These trips allow us to do something bigger than ourselves.”
