Terry Hand

Married to Jennifer and father to five children; Stephen, Lauren and Madison are grown and on their own; Caroline and Trey, ages 16 and 15, are in high school and serve on mission trips during breaks.

The idea for Youth 4 Orphans came to Terry in 2009 following a trip to the Old Bight Mission Home on Cat Island, Bahamas. He went to Cat Island thinking that he was going to help the children but was not prepared for the affect they would have on him. God used the children of this orphanage to give him a new direction for his life. The following year, Terry began taking youth from the U.S. to the orphanage to serve and left his ministry position in 2015 to dedicate his full attention to forming the 501(c)3 non-profit mission.

Y4O would show Christian love by caring for the children but also train our young people to care for “the least of these” as Jesus has instructed us to do. The mission experience will leave a lasting impression on U.S. youth and young adults as well as positively impact the lives of those we serve.

Over the past nine years Y4O has grown to include serving in Haiti at the Family of Happy Children orphanage and in 2019 to serve in Guatemala.  Trips range from 8-9 weeks per year with over 80 participants. Terry is very pleased with the launch of CL4U, a Christian mentorship program to help deepen students faith and leadership skills.  He is excited to see where God takes Y4O next!

Jennifer and Terry have five wonderful children, two still living at home.  They have served as foster parents in the past have both have a strong calling for serving vulnerable children.

Jennifer is a native of Texas and loves to be in the outdoors.  She has worked for the past 10 years in non-profit management at two large Naples churches and has recently joined the Y4O team full-time as Director of Operations.

Jennifer hopes to blend her love of children and serving in mission with her experience in management, business ownership, and non-profit board service to support the work God is doing through Y4O.

Peter Pytlik

Peter, a Wisconsin native graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Stout, and his wife, Kim, moved to Naples in 1987. With a previous career in country club management and a baby in tow, the Pytliks started Warehouse Services in 1988. Kim would run the office and Peter would make deliveries. The company has grown to 16 employees, eight trucks and three warehouse facilities with a sister company, Surroundings Fine Furniture and Consignments, which opened in 2004.

The Pytliks have three children, one of whom is the next generation of operating Warehouse Services. Peter and Kim strive to bring the influences of their Christian faith to all of their relationships.

Ted and his wife Angela have been married for over 24 years and have a daughter in college, a daughter in high school and a son in elementary school. After hearing much about and indirectly supporting Y4O for several years he was excited to finally get to go on a Y4O trip to Cat Island in the summer of 2018 and experience first hand the joy and relationships developed there.

He joined the Y4O Board in 2018 and is currently serving as our Treasurer. He has previously served as chief financial officer of a technology company, an education company and a business services company and was a partner with an international accounting firm.

Ted looks forward to helping to expand the mission of Y4O in our broken and hurting world and sharing with our youth how they can make a positive impact on the many needs.

Madi Cona

Madi Cona is a busy wife who spends most days building her business and teaching her three teenage daughters the way to living a life that would make Jesus proud.  As a native Neapolitan and settling back into Naples life 21 years ago with her attorney husband, Christopher, Madi found relief from the hectic hustle and bustle of raising three young children when a friend produced a chance to become an entrepreneur. Little did she know, that would open doors to many more opportunities where she was able to fine tune her skills in marketing, business operations and development and interpersonal relationships in a rapidly changing internet-based world.

As luck would have it, a brief conversation with a friend about his experience on a recent Cat Island trip, Y4O created such opportunities for her and her family.  This not only provided a positive experience to the orphans on Cat Island, who Y4O was eager to help, but also gave a fresh perspective to how people can work together in helping others and grow personally through Jesus Christ.

Tom has been a commercial real estate appraiser in Naples, FL and now his home town of Columbus, OH since 1989. His passion is serving God by serving his children and has served as a volunteer for several years with different organizations including Youth Ministry at North Naples United Methodist Church, Youth 4 Orphans mission trip leader and by coordinating support and awareness to the Old Bight Mission Home.  He has served as treasurer for both Youth 4 Orphans and Table of Grace Church, and Trustee for First United Methodist Church of Bonita Springs.

Actively working with Youth 4 Orphans as a volunteer and leader since its inception, Tom has watched the group refine its mission and desires to help them continue to spread the gospel through their service to those with the greatest need.

William Rowe

Bill has been married his soul mate and best friend, Sandra, for 30 years. They have two grown sons, Charles, a teacher in China, and Christopher, who is currently a college student and they’re currently foster parents to teenage children. Bill has been a business owner and General Contractor since 1987, currently with Rowe and Rowe Enterprises Inc. Bill has been involved with Y4O since it was first presented at his Church. He participated with Chris and other youth in the first trip to the orphanage in Cat Island and made at least three more trips to the orphanage. The experience had a profound affect on his life as it does with most youth that participate. Bill believes facilitating the opportunity for young people to live the Gospel and participate with Christ in caring for the least of his children is a privilege that cannot be ignored.

Serena has been married to her husband Mark for twenty-three years. They have a daughter, Emilie who has been on numerous Youth For Orphans missions trips. Serena has been a registered nurse for twenty-five years with her primary focus being hospice care. Her passion for Youth 4 Orphans started with her daughter sharing her personal experiences about mission trips and the valuable life lessons she learned. Expressing that, “no joy can be equal to the joy you receive by serving others”. Serena believes that Y4O gives our local youth the unique opportunity to serve others while broadening worldly perspectives and developing leadership skills. One of the most valuable way to serve others as Christians is to show we care. As found in Act 20:25, it is more blessed to give than receive.
